The poster and ashcan will be available still for the con-goers and and all will be signed and numbered. Just stop by the Angel Comics booth and tell the guys hi!

Flat colors
I guess this will be a fun thing to share with you guys. I fell in love with how my art looks when done in a cell-shaded style after a few colorists chose to render in that style over my inks. Don’t get me wrong, I love the other styles too, but those seemed like techniques that was taking me too long to pin down a preferred method of emulation. With the cell-shade style, I can jump in and put some rudimentary logic to it initially and build into a more complicated style as I get comfortable.
This is the first step, the flat colors. Actually, I did the flat colors and then another layer with a gradient of blue over the purple with the setting on color burn. Hence the slight darkening of the figure as you go lower.
